derrick rose’s game is all about utility.

physically, only lebron can match rose for efficiency in his offensive game. he gets exactly where he wants to get at any point in the game. he doesn’t need tricks or headfakes to get a shot off. he and lebron just fuckin walk past you and get to the rim. his body does exactly what he wants it to do whenever he wants it to do it.

kevin durant can’t get to his spot if you’re sturdier than he is. you can knock him off of his sweet spot and make him take a shot he doesn’t want to take. fucking derrick rose is going to get the shot he wants because he is faster and stronger than you and the only way you’re gonna not let him get to his spot is when there’s three people on him. lebron and tony allen are the only two people that could shut him down. he’s also now top 5 defensively for a point guard. maybe i take lebron and dwight before i take rose, but he’s definitely not falling out of the top 5 for me, probably not top 3 or 4. he’s gonna give you 20+ points, 6+ assists, 5+ rebounds and dope defense every day and make the other team hate their lives. not many people can do that.

edit: he also cares more about winning than anyone in the nba besides kobe. he cannot be stopped.
